Showtime renews Shameless & House of Lies
Showtime president David Nevins announced today that the network has renewed it's hit series Shameless and House of Lies for new seasons set to air next year The two shows will join the already-renewed Episodes for the 2015 winter season.
This comes as no surprise as all three shows have received almost universal critical acclaim. Matt LeBlanc and Don Cheadle won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Comedy Series in 2011 and 2012, respectively. While Shameless is the second highest rated premium cable series this season. Showtime has a lot to be proud of with this line-up.
I, for one, am very happy to see Shameless get another season. I do hope that the Emmy Award and/or Golden Globe voters take Emmy Rossum and Jeremy Allen White's performances into consideration for nominations this year. They both have been absolutely outstanding this season. Just take a look at this preview for next week's episode and tell me they don't deserve it. You can't! So lets get this #EmmyForEmmy campaign started already!
House of Lies and Episodes have been on my to-watch list for a while now. I'll probably get around to it before the new seasons start. I remember being really excited for House of Lies because of Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, anyone?!) but somehow never got around to watching it. Ahh, so much television, so little time to consume it all.
