NBC is reviving Heroes in 2015
STOP. Stop everything you're doing because NBC has announced they will be reviving Heroes for a 13 episode mini-series set to air in 2015. A promo clip was played during tonight's telecast of the Winter Olympic Games.
Jennifer Salke of NBC said of the revival: “The enormous impact ‘Heroes’ had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening. Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We’re thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”
I get that seasons two through four weren't that great but I still stuck with the show until the very end. If they can capture just some of the magic they had in the first season, I think we'll be in for a great show. That said, the original cast has to come back. They were what kept us watching throughout the not-so-good seasons: Zach Quinto, Milo Ventimiglia, Hayden Panettiere, all of them. They all need to come back because otherwise, who cares?
